Cherry Blossom Party (MAP)
Introducing the cherry blossoms you can see at Osaka Castle Park in the order they bloom.

1October Cherry
These cherry blossoms bloom slowly, from around October in the autumn to early April in the spring.

2Taiwan Cherry
Starting in early March, these blossoms bloom in a downward-facing, closed bell shape.

3Hachisuka Cherry
Originally located in the Tokushima Castle court, protected by samurai residences, these cherry blossoms have recently spread throughout the country.

4Yoko Cherry
These bloom earlier than the Yoshino cherry, are slightly larger, and have a deeper pink color.

5Weeping Cherry
Both single- and double-flowered varieties can be seen throughout Osaka Castle Park.

6Oshima Cherry
The original ancestor of many horticultural varieties, with white flowers, as well as leaves that sprout at the same time the flowers bloom.

7Jindai Akebono
Disease-resistant, and garnering attention as an alternative cultivar to the Yoshino cherry.

8Yoshino Cherry
The Yoshino cherry is what comes to mind when you think of cherry blossom viewing. It is now the symbol of cherry blossoms in Japan.

9Japanese Sato-zakura Cherry
While there are a lot of different varieties, many are double-flowered, and can be enjoyed from mid-April onward.
